Anushka Sharma is a Bollywood actor and producer. She is among the highest-paid actresses and won numerous awards for her performance. Anushka Sharma is child of Kumar Sharma (retd.) and Ashima Sharma. She was born in Ayodhya in Uttar Pradesh on May 1, 1988. Anushka Sharma's father was an old colonel. The mother of the child is also a housewife. Karnesh Sharma, Anushka's elder brother, served as an Merchant Navy officer and is now a film producer. Anushka is a graduate at Army School Bangalore. She also holds a Bachelor of Arts from Mount Carmel College located in Bangalore. Anushka holds a master's degree in studies in economics. Anushka had always wanted to be either an actress or journalist, and never an actor. Anushka Sharma left for Mumbai for the purpose of registering at Elite Model Management and be groomed under the guidance of style consultant Prasad Bidapa. Anushka began modelling in 2017 for Wendell Rodricks Les Vamps Show. She was also selected for the spring collection Summer 2007, by Rodricks. After her modeling debut at Lakme Fashion Week Anushka did several campaigns for brands like n she has done campaigns to promote the brand's Silk & Shine Whisper Nathella Jewelry as well as Fiat Palio etc. Anushka began an acting course and started auditioning for films in addition to the modeling profession. Anushka Sharma made her film debut in 2008 with Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi. The film was a collaboration with Shah Rukh Khan. In her screen test she refused to do an impromptu one and took a day to prepare herself. Then she was signed to three films under Yash Raj Films banner. She was the young wife of an older man in the film (the same role that Shah Rukh Khan played). The film was hit on the box office and was the second-highest-grossing movie of 2008. Anushka played Shahid Kapoor Meiyang Chang and Vir Das in the film Badmash Company. The movie received mixed reviews. Anushka appeared as a Punjabi girl from the middle class in a film called 'Band Baaja Baaraat. The film featured her alongside Ranveer. The movie got positive reviews. In Band Baaja Baaraat, Anushka's three-film agreement under the Yash Raj Films banner was complete.
